PRELIMINARY TASK

For our preliminary task we where instructed to make a very short clip featuring several important camera techniques such as match on action which is briefly shown below:


 shot reverse shot.

and following the very important 180 degree rule.

The short clip was based on dialogue of a character entering a room through the door encountering dialogue with another character and then leaving.

Firstly we started by brainstorming all our ideas and then creating a basic but brief storyboard that involved all our shots and ideas.

 



These images briefly show how our clip was recorded.
After recording using our personal camcorders we then had to use apples imovie programme to edit the scenes and turn them into the desired clip.This meant cutting and splitting audio and video ,we also added certain transition and effects such as external audio.throughout this project me and my group encountered many set backs such as a faulty camera stand, a slow laptop and a corrupted imovie. With all these major setbacks we still did an exceptional attempt at the sequence.
Myself Clifford along with Matthew where the actors in the scene,Gabriel was working his magic behind the camera.
